What to Expect at Your First DOGWOW Appointment
Trying a new groomer for the first time can feel a little uncertain — especially when it's for your beloved dog. At DOGWOW, we want every visit to feel comfortable, easy, and totally worth it. Here's a friendly walkthrough of what to expect when you bring your pup in for the first time.
Before You Arrive
Book your appointment online or by phone. You can request an appointment through our website or call us at (714) 369-2035. We'll confirm your appointment and let you know what to expect based on your dog's breed, coat type, and the service you've chosen.
A few things to have ready:
- Your dog's vaccination records (we require up-to-date rabies vaccination)
- Any notes about your dog's temperament, sensitivities, or preferences
- Your preferred style or trim if you have one in mind
When You Arrive
We're located at 17401 Beach Blvd #103 in Huntington Beach — easy to find with plenty of parking. When you walk in, our friendly team will greet you and your pup and go over the services for the day.
We'll do a quick check-in to note your dog's coat condition, any mats or tangles, and confirm the style you're looking for. This is a great time to ask questions or share anything important about your dog.
During the Appointment
Grooming appointments typically take 1 to 3 hours, depending on your dog's size, coat type, and the services requested. We'll send you a text when your pup is ready for pickup — so you're free to run errands, grab a coffee, or explore the neighborhood.
Our groomers are experienced with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. We take our time to make sure your dog feels calm and comfortable throughout the process.
Services We Offer
At DOGWOW, we offer a full range of grooming services:
- Bath & Brush — a thorough wash, blow dry, brush out, and finishing touches
- Full Grooming — everything in Bath & Brush plus a breed-specific haircut and styling
- Self-Serve Dog Wash — use our professional station to wash your dog yourself (no appointment needed!)
- Add-ons — nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and more
After the Appointment
When you pick up your pup, we'll walk you through what was done and share any notes about their coat or skin health. We love seeing happy dogs leave our salon — and even happier owners.
